  1. every 30 days!

  2. Monthly; total pay would also include benefits if authorized and special pays if authorized so you need to look those up and add them to the base pay to get a gross figure that is accurate.

  3. I wish it was every 2 weeks! LoL But no, as has already been stated, that's per month.

  4. that's monthly pay... I want to set something straight about one of the other answers that says you'll get housing, hazardous duty pay, etc.

well, if you're married, you could get housing.. and if you go to a zone that is deemed hazardous, you'd get paid for that.. these extra pays, are not automatic.

usually.. if you join the military... typically, you are young, single and looking for a job and some adventure. you'll get it. but usually, if you are... single,  u live on the ship (navy) or barracks (other services), this is all you're going to get (you won't even get navy sea pay until you're a e-4.) so, it can be tough sometimes. the pay wage is usually a little lower than in the outside world, however, the military does give you free food and shelter.... add that into your pay.

  5. Monthly but this chart does not include BAH or per diem. Depending on what your mission is.

That is the least you will be brining home before taxes..

    Example:

If you get deployed you will be bringing home BAH (average mortage) for you area.

Seperation pay with dependents if you have any.

Hazardous Duty Pay along with substiance allowences.

It really can vary just depends on what and where you are stationed.

  6. the monthly base pay.  does not factor in deductions such as taxes, GI Bill, TSP and SGLI, nor does it factor in  any special pays or allowances.

  7. Keep in mind, it's not exactly ever 2 weeks. Pay day is on the 1st and the 15th of the month. Sometimes you can go over 2 weeks between paydays.

  8. Monthly.
