Question:

For models, how direct must direct sunlight be?

For painted models and figures, it is advised to avoid displaying them in places with direct sunlight to avoid the paint fading quickly. However, what is the definition of direct sunlight?

I have a day curtain that is almost always drawn. However, a good amount of sunlight does enter the room to make it sufficiently bright. If I place models/figures around that area, does that count as 'direct sunlight'?

  1. When the curtain is drawn, the sunlight that comes in would be "filtered" sunlight, not direct, and should be fine.

If you open the curtain, it would be direct sunlight coming in, though.

  2. think

    direct

if the sun shines directly on it
