For my 11 years old daughter an extra new teeth is coming exactly above an existing teeth. ?

The existing teeth is also new which came 1 year back.

Please suggest, which dental specalist I need to consult. Typically how do they treat this ?

  1. I had that.. my dentist said i just have to leave it as the tooth below the new one will be loose and will fall off soon and then that will fit the new tooth into place xx


  2. i think the other person who answered missed the fact that both teeth are new teeth.

    most likely one tooth will need to be pulled.  x-rays will reveal how difficult the extraction will be.  if it is simple then some dentists will do it, if it is more difficult then you would be referred to an oral surgeon.

  3. So this is an extra tooth or a tooth in the wrong place? See her dentist and let him decide what to do.  It is not unusual believe it or not to have an extra tooth that doesn't belong. Generally they just remove it.
