1. Happens all the time.

Look at Sudan or Zimbabwe for example.

I don't see the US steaming in there to help the people.

Could it be because neither of those countries has anything the US wants?

  2. Jeez. Neo=new. Con=conservative.

True conservatives believe in smaller governments who don't interfere with peoples' right to govern themselves.

Richard Nixon was the first president in a few decades to meet with the Chinese AND he ENDED the Vietnam war that Kennedy began.

The reason "conservatives" now believe in policing the world is because the religious right-wingers have been force-fed a bunch of Zionist b.s. They care about Israel before they care about America! Why? Because they want to see Israel (Palestine) in the control of the Jews because they want the Jews to rebuild Solomon's Temple. Once this occurs (they believe) this will fulfill the book of Revelations in the Bible and therefore end of the world can begin!

    Pretty sick!

Tell your "neocon" friend that true conservatives believe in the ideals of Barry Goldwater and Ron Paul!

  3. Good intentions, my ***. The U.S. hasn´t intervened in Russia-Georgia conflict nor in Sudan or Zimbabwe. Also, we did nothing when the Rwanda genocide happened. As we speak hundreds of countries are under dictators, people suffer famine, women are being raped, and human rights are being broken. Our country cannot be the world police because ideally it does not work. We lose lives, money, and Americans become enraged. The non-interventionist position is that we should only war another country when it directly threatens us.

Unfortunately, we cannot help the many who suffer. That´s life. In China, hundreds are imprisoned unfairly for speaking against the government. In many Muslim nations, women are treated like property and may I remind you that Saudi Arabia is our ally and they are the worst offenders. The U.S. intervenes only when it benefits them and not for the sake of humanity.
