  1. There really isnt a difference. A resort could be like a nudist resort, or a spa. Its just a fancy way of saying hotel that may have extra commonities

  2. A hotel is just a place to sleep. It may offer a small breakfast for free, and maybe a pool or exercise room as well.

A resort is where you go to have fun, to be active or relax. It has planned activities that you may or may not join in, it is up to you. Depending on what type of resort you go to, they might offer, horsebackriding, snorkeling, a day spa, yoga classes, etc. some of their plans are "all-inclusive" which means you would get your meals included with the cost of the stay.

  3. A hotel is just a place to stay with a room and a bed.

A resort is more comfy !  A resort might have a pool and inclusive stuff like free meals and a bar or something

  4. I think a hotel is more of a place to rest and sleep with few activities at the actual hotel....while a resort is a place to rest and sleep but has many activities within the resort.

  5. A hotel is a place where you normally just spend a night.  A resort is a place that one vacations at for a longer time.
