For people on cruises before.. going on a NORWEIGEN Cruise Liner to the bahamas..?

do they search you before getting on the ship? are u patted down? would it be easy to bring aboard a joint?

I sailed with NCL several times and no, they do not search you at the cruise terminal.  I wouldn't advocate for bringing a joint on board though, because I believe that the ship is entirely non-smoking except for the balcony rooms and the promenade.  If you smoke the joint in a balcony room, your neighbors will smell it and let's just say the promenade is not real private.  Either way, getting reported could land you in the brig (and yes, they have one.) or confined to your room for the rest of the trip.

you do not get patted down.  Keep in mind though that drug dogs do roam the luggage area and since it is a port, customs people are in the area.  Buying week isn't that good an idea in ports eithor, it's a pretty common scam for someone to sell a passanger weed and then turn right around and tell the cops.  Then you end up at the local cop house, paying a large fine (usually whatever they can get out of your bank account) before you are released.
