For people that drive barefoot why do you?

I do because it is more comfortable then wearing shoes and it feels good to drive barefoot

I started doing that few years ago.  I felt like I could NOT drive if I could not feel the pedal.

but then the winter came along and I got back used to driving with shoes.  Then I forgot all about it.

So it is just matter of psychology (mindset).

It's not illegal in any state to drive barefoot tho some think it is. i drive barefoot most of the time becaue i think its much more comfortable than sneakers and i dont like driving with flip flops

i drive a 5-speed and its a lot easier to drive barefoot since the clutch and brake are small and close together.

Feeling good can be a reason to drive barefoot... but you may want to double check the laws in your state. Many states actually have a law against driving barefoot.
