  1. They don't hurt that bad! It does tend to go numb a lil, especially on the colored in spots. But it depends on what style you are getting too. Ones with long lines tend to feel like you're getting cut more. Plus it's like anything else... if you really want it.... the pain, the lil bit that it is, won't make a difference! I say go for it!

  2. its not that bad and it depends on where u get it at...iits like a having a brand new key being  rubbed on ur skin most ppl think its more annoying than anything and and for me it was addicting b.c now i want a lot more...and think about it pain only last a little but ur kool new tattoo willl last forever pain goes away....

  3. I'm not gonna lie, it does hurt! But it is bearable. The person that said you get numb after a while is right!! I think that's what makes it bearable! And you know, different parts of the body hurt worse than others too. I've always noticed that anywhere that's over a bone hurts way worse!

  4. well i have 2 tattoos 1 in my ribs that is really big and the other on my chest and both didnt hurt at all.. it kinda feels like u are being scrapped a bunch not as bad as going to the doctor and getting a shot tho... i guess it depends on how well u do with pain.. buts its not as bad as alot of people say it is

  5. I'm the biggest wussy about pain, but i have 3 tats. one one the lower part of my back, one on my right shoulder and one on the lower part of my leg.  The pain is not that bad at all.  If you are scared and tense when you go in there is going to be some pain, and when they go over a bone it hurts a little, but nothing to bad.  It was no different to me then when i got my piercings.  My suggestion would be for your first tat to pick a spot for a small one that isnt over a boney area.

  6. well it depends on 1. your tolerence of pain, and 2. were you get the tattoo.

there endless combonations, so i think you'll get a pretty wide range of answers.

(fyi: i have a pretty high tolerence level, and got one on my ankle... i didn't feel a thing!) :)

  7. i have a piece done on each of my shoulders that extends into the middle of my upper back in between my shoulders and it didnt hurt me at all. i have 8 tats all together, some hurt and some didnt. you do tend to become 'numb' to it after a while but even with the pain, tats are totally worth it!

  8. I have one on my hip. and it was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I have a fairly high pain tolerance, not because I like pain, but because I'm down with having to sacrifice.

So If you really like what you're getting you will get through the pain!

  9. it feels like someone is scratching a sunburn...more annoying than painful

plus you get a sweet natural high after its all done ;)

  10. I have one exactly where you want yours. At first it tickled, then it felt annoying for a few minutes. After that, I felt nothing at all.

I also have 2 wrist tattoos. Those ones felt great. I actually enjoyed that experience.

Everyone is different. If you want a tattoo, get it. Don't let pain be a deal breaker. It is part of the experience, after all.

  11. of course it's painful...

there's a sharp object carving into ur skin and putting ink in it!!

    XD

  12. Women have better pain tolerance than men. I got mine about two months ago and the worst part of it, when they were doing the bottom part, it felt like someone was pinching me really hard. The rest of it tickled.

  13. I have 5 tattoo's in the following places: sholder, hip, chest, back of neck and lower leg.  They all felt different being in different places.  The one on my hip did not hurt infact it tickled my bottom, but the one on the back of my nech hurt really bad.  If you try and stay relaxed it helps lessen the pain.

  14. i got mine on my hip, and i think it depends on where you get it. the boniest parts of your body hurt the most...

i thought it felt like a cat was repeatedly scratching at me.

i had a friend who got one that just said it felt like that tingling feeling you get when your foot falls asleep.

and another one who only felt it for about ten seconds, then she went numb.

it just depends on you and how you handle pain.

honestly though, if you want it bad enough, the pain is COMPLETELY worth it.
