For people who's team has been eliminated...how do you feel about how your team went out? Were you suprised how far your team went or disappointed on how your team played?

For people who's team was out of the playoffs...what do you think on how they did in the regular season?Do you think they could've had a shot at making the playoffs? What's the biggest thing your team should have done to help them get in the playoffs?

For me....I'm happy on how my team got out of the playoffs. The Rangers impressed me on how good of a fight they put on the Pens. They scored 12 goals and gave up 15 while the Sens and Philly were getting dominated by them.

  1. Leafs. 'Nuff said.

  2. Well my team is the hurricanes

And I thought that they were going to make it to the playoffs this year in fact i betted on it. I was thinking there is no way the caps will take the division, but the caps did. I thought we played better than last season especially since alot of our key players were injured. I was really proud of what they accomplished. They definately had a shot at the playoffs. It came down to the last game of the season against the panthers. I was sure the canes would win because the panthers haven't beaten us in our building since 2002 so i was expecting the canes to win, but they didn't and that took the playoffs from them. And the biggest thing they could of done was win the last game. But in all they had a good season!

  3. How my Leafs went out? They can't even lose properly for frak's sakes! They had a perfectly good chance to be in the top 3 of the draft and they blew it. If Sundin would've agreed to waive his no-trade, the Leafs would have a handful of first round picks this draft year. Instead, they're settling for seventh. Cheeky b******s....

  4. My team is the Panthers. They were in contention for a playoff spot until the last week of the season yet again. They did fairly well during the regular season. Hits few bumps in the road and then came on when they needed too. Then fell flat when they should have won. So another roller coaster season for us down here. The biggest thing they needed was consistency. They seem to lack it at times

  5. Well, I think its unusual if a fan of the eliminated team doesn't feel disappointed. No one likes the season to end on a loss.

I SHOULD say that I'm pleased with how the Flyers did, but I'll only allow that they improved from a season ago - but last season HAD to be improved upon.

There were a few things I noticed that I didn't like in the early part of the season that I think were why they are golfing now. They were soft in the third period most of the time, inconsistent with their affinity for a W-L-W-L-W-L pattern that cost them the division.

Until this seasons playoffs, the Flyers teams are a fragile bunch that for some odd reason just fail to have that personality that championship teams have. It is hard to describe or to quantify, but the Flyers will need more of that jutzpah they had these playoffs in order to bring home the prize.

Also, despite injuries, I still don't think a 6-0 drubbing is the way to end a season on a positive note. But we'll see.....

  6. i think that the rangers had a good run but i think that they could have played better against the pen's. i didn't think they could have won the cup but you always hope. if their defense was better against the pen's and they didn't give the puck up and their power play was better they would have done better. i wasn't totally happy with the way it ended but i think they will  do better next year

now i am rooting for detroit to win cause i hate the pen's and i have always liked detroit since i was younger

  7. Wings.. oh wait..... we are still playing!

AND YES! I am glad we got into the playoffs healthy for once! All except Kopecky! d**n, if we had him..... WWGRD?

I said all year, if Hasek plays in the playoffs, it is another early exit! Thank you Dom for getting pulled but not s******g the pooch too bad!

  8. ok first off my team i the san jose sharks.

im disappointed but not as disappointed as i've been in the past. i really thought they had a good shot at making the stanley cup finals & winning the cup this year but hopefully the 08-09 season will be better. i think they did a really good job during the regular season we went 18-0-2 & got 38 out of 40 possible points, now if we would have continued to play like that we could have been in the stanley cup finals right now.

next season, the sharks are gonna have a completely different team & a different coach, so im really looking forward to the next sesaon.  it wasnt all nabby's fault, all's he can do is keep pucks out of the net, he played really well in the game 4 game overtime against dallas, i really wished they would have won that game & i honestly thought if they would have won that game they probably would have won game 7 back at the tank & like i said, then they could have been the ones in the finals right now.

on the other hand my other favorite team the pittsburgh penguins, i loved how they played the first 3 rounds & now they are playing like cr*p, it kinda reminds me of how the sharks were playing. but hopefully we can turn it around & win both games considering they havent lost at home since february 24th when the sharks beat them.

i honestly thought it was gonna be sharks v.s. penguins for the stanley cup, well thats before the playoffs started but what can i do about it now. =/

  9. "How do you feel about how your team went out?"

Optimistic for next year, I'm a Blackhawks fan.

"What do you think on how they did in the regular season?"

Really Good Kane, Sharp, and Toews are the future in the West.

"Do you think they could've had a shot at making the playoffs?"

    Yep, they barely missed em.

"What's the biggest thing your team should have done to help them get in the playoffs?"

If Toews did not get injured, then the Wings would not be in the cup right now.  (My Blackhawks account for about a fourth of all Wings loses during the Regular Season and would have played em first round)

The future of the Blackhawks is bright, things are going to be changing in the NHL, well at least in the West.

  10. I was really unimpressed with how Ottawa did this whole season. They started out strong, but ended up being an up and down team. They barely made the playoffs, and got dominated 4-0 by Pittsburgh. I just hope Ottawa straightens things up this summer and has a great 08-09 season.

  11. Sharks:

Horrible.  Good effort with their backs against the wall down 3-0, but looking at it from a macro view, it shouldn't have come down to that.  For a team that has reached a franchise high in points, made it to the 2nd round for the 3rd year in a row, and failed to move on is unacceptable.  I'm very disappointed that we came out soft against Calgary and let Dallas dictate the play in round 2.

The regular season was nice.  Can't complain about the long winning streak late in the season.  Nabby shouldn't have played that much, but in the end, it wasn't Nabby's fault that we lost.  We had 4 solid lines, we traded for the best d-men available during the deadline, and Marleau and Wilson finally started seeing eye to eye.  Torrey Mitchell and Devin Setoguchi were introduced to the NHL!

The Sharks did make the playoffs and the result was the same as last year....and the year before.  The one change i'd make would be preparation.  It seems like the team wasn't focused or in it mentally.  Calgary played with purpose and Dallas played with precision.  San Jose played for fun and only when they truly realized they were in the playoffs, they played for real.  But of course, by then it was too little too late.  It starts with a coach next year and although unlikely, i'm still holding hope that it will be Pat Burns.

  12. Colorado - I think the avalanche were one of the best contenders going into the playoffs this year, and only got eleminated because they had to face the red wings. If it werent for the injuries the team suffered all year I believe we would have had a better seeding and wouldnt have had to play the wings until the final round. But nobody will beat the red wings this year, they take the cup 4-0. Lets all just look forward to next year.

  13. Ducks. Pizzed off!

I blame Burke, Scott Nieds and Teemu for what should've been a repeat of last season.

  14. Flyers: I am proud of how they went out.  Obviously they went from first to the Conference finals.  They are young, they are talented and they did a good job of dealing with adversity throughout the season.  Their young players stepped up, Mike Richards in particular had a breakout season.  Jeff Carter and RJ Umberger both continued to progress and seemed to improve throughout the season.  They have a solid (not superstar) caliber goaltender and their defense improved considerably.  They still have a crop of talented young players in the system that they have not seen yet as well.  This season was a nice indicator of things to come for the team.

  15. i think the blackhawks had an awesome season, i think they should have made the playoffs and they definetly will next season

  16. I've been cool with it. i said before the semi's that it did not matter because nobody will beat Detroit this year

watching the Pens getting shredded overrides my sadness

  17. This is the first time in 5 years that the Stars have made it beyond the first round.  The fact that they made it to the conference finals is frakkin' awesome!

  18. Anaheim-I was disappointed. They didn't want it enough, and Dallas showed Anaheim how much they did want it. The Ducks made the Stars look like an unbeatable team.

  19. Predators - Upset as usual another first round exit. This is the first complaint about the series I'm making. I think we should have had at least one of the first two games in Detroit. There were a few questionable calls. I also feel that we were the only team they faced that gave them any type of challenge.
