For people who've had their wrist done: could you please answer the following questions?

I really want mine done to celebrate my second year of university, my third year - as I'm going abroad to France and/or Japan - or graduation. I want mine to be like a 'bracelet' using rainbow crystal stones (I'm female).

1. Where and when did you get it done?

2. How much did it hurt, if at all?

3. If you have a job, what is it? Does the piercing get in the way of the job?*

4. What's the upkeep like on it?

*I work at my dad's office doing typing, opening letters, answering the telephone, making drinks for myself (and other staff, if so required).

I also work for an agency that does catering and hospitality for prestigious - i.e. s****. - sporting events and I usually work as a runner (bringing the food out to the customers from the kitchen). However, in the past I have been made to do waitressing/wine waiting although I've never had any training whatsoever for those.

Also, any other tips/advice you could give would be great.

I live in Croydon over the holidays, but I study at Liverpool and got my belly pierced at Bodz in Cheshire.

  1. Twice a year my husband and I throw a catered party at our house for our friends and his co-workers.. there's no way I'd hire someone with her arm pierced to serve our guests.

  2. 1. Haven't had my wrist but I've had a lot of experience with surface piercings; they just don't work.

    2. Nothing major, the procedures are just a little longer so you might want to bite your tongue

    3. If your boss doesn't like piercings then they're going to get in the way, no matter how discreet

    4. I can say with quite some certainty that it's going to reject at least partially within the year, I'd seriously reccomend saving up a bit looking into microdermals instead (basic info over here: http://wiki.bmezine.com/index.php/Microd... )

If you're looking for some rainbow ends then these are awesome: http://bodyartforms.com/productdetails.a...

I've heard nothing but praise for Bodz, almost makes me wish I didn't live in Essex (I'm a Hepcats girl myself)

  3. I'm afraid I've no personal experience of a wrist piercing but I imagine it's similar to a nape piercing (which I do have) or any surface piercing. It probably won't hurt much but I imagine it could get in the way of a job and get caught on things easily, requiring a lot of upkeep. It might be better to look into getting microdermals instead of a surface bar piercing - there's less scarring if they reject and they often last longer, but by no means are they permanent.
