I don’t know my motto for learning, but I use math all the time in everyday life.  Things like my speed or the square footage of a room.  I know that stuff is simple, but it is really useful.  Just the other day, I was going to put some money in the bank.  It was compounded continually so I knew exactly how much money I would make.  Stupid, but helpful. I was just reviewing conic sections, and they are everywhere. Like parabolas and hyperbolas. If you sit down and look at it, almost every aspect of our lives are controled by math.
