For people who have Braces?

Question

Ok im going to get braces this week but yeaterday they put something called spacers in my top jaw and lower jaw in betwwen my back teeth and one of my top ones fell out!

I dont know wat to do!

does it hurt wen they put braces on and how much does it take?

It doesn't hurt that much when they put on the braces you can barely feel  it, I got braces last year and the only thing i hated about it was the taste of the glue lol, and your mouth has to be really DRY

The only pain you would probably feel will be after the braces are on because your teeth are adjusting to them and stuff.

you should try to get into your orthadonists office or call the front desk and let them know whats going on your spacers. they can give you proper advice from there

it doesn't hurt when they put the braces on, but your mouth is going to be sore for a couple of days after you get them on.

it won't hurt, just kind of annoying.

More than likely the spacers have done their job, they've made enough space and that's why they have fallen out. If you're going to get your braces on this week, I wouldn't worry to much about getting them replaced.  I'm sure it all depends on your orthodontist if they would like to see you again or not, if you're to worried about it, give them a call.  Pretty much 9 times out of 10 your can fit the bands on the teeth without even using spacers. If they are to tight, the assistant/doctor can replace the spacers the day you get your braces on, while they are applying the brackets. Applying the brackets  usually take at least 1/2 hour to 45 mins. giving the spacers time to work. Then the bands can be fit afterwards.

I am also getting braces this week, and i also got spacers yesterday! My orthodontist told me that if the spacers came out within 1-2 days i should phone the orthodontist, and go in to get them put back in. So you should do that.

Wow, mine never fell out.. or came out :)

but gettting braces doesn't hurt all that much.. just the long wait of having ur mouth opened.. and than afterwards pain kicks in.. but it's not that painful.. it gets better :)

go to the dentist to get it put back in cuz spacers is the first step before they put on ur braces. when they put them on it doesnt hurt but you just have to eat soft food for maybe 1 or 2 weeks. it kinda hurts when you get them off tho. and they get rly annoying when you have them on. and i had less confidence. believe me. i had them on for 4 and half years it was terrible but i got them off early cuz i was tired of having them on.  it will be around 2 and half hours to put them on.

Tell your mom to call your orthodontist and they'll tell you what to do. To have the braces put on, it doesn't hurt that much except for the occasional stabbing. The real pain is like an hour after you get them on. To get your braces on, it probably takes like 45 minutes. Every month you get them tightened and the pain from the soreness (starts like an hour after tightened) comes again for the first 3 days. It hurts when you eat for like a week.
