1. How long does it usually take (when you take a Disney bus) to get from one park to another?

2. How much is there at The Magic Kingdom for someone 13 years, 13 years, (me and my sister), and a 10 year old boy?

3. How long would you spend at Blizzard Beach?

4. Is the food tasty, and healthy? (Well, decent?)

5. Are there lots of rides suitable for kids age 10 - 14? (Like thrill rides and rollercoasters... I'm sure there is, but I'm just asking.)

I'm going to Disney with my family soon and these are some questions we have. We have never been.

  1. 1   15-20 min depending on were your resort is           2     3 roller coasters  a ride that stich spits on your back and sooooo much more      3  5-8 hours depending on kids ages and heat                    4    great food at all resorts and parks and even snack carts sell fresh fruit  if you want a great burger eat at Pecos Bills MAGIC KINGDOM THEY HAVE A toppings bar that has cheese sauce on it for fries         5 yes and make sure you go to MGM for rocknroller coaster and tower of terror!   ihope it helps and have a blast

  2. 1) Hotel to park and park to park they run every 20 minutes which makes the maximum time from exit of one park to entrance of the next about 30 minutes. (About the same if you drove and had to park) EXCEPTION. any park to magic kingdom takes about 40-45 minutes because you must go to the TTC (Transportation and ticket center) by bus then take a 10 minute monrail ride to the park entrance (ASK TO SIT UP FRONT WITH THE MONORAIL DRIVERS THEY ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO ANSWER QUESTIONS AND TALK ABOUT THEIR JOB).    Now, as far as hotel to hotel, then it gets tricky, because you usually have to take a bus to a central location (one of the theme parks or downtown disney ) and that can take up to an hour. If you rent a car definately use the car to go hotel to hotel.  EXCEPTION is a hotel connected to the monorail as it is just a trip to the magic kingdom and about a 5 minute monorail ride.   Also, don't use downtown disney as a central hub, because the buses make 3 stops there and thats an extra 15 minute wait

    2) As long as you are over 48 inches, you can and will love all the rides and attractions.

    3) If your going in the summer you can enjoy it for prolly 8 hours. then go to the park at night. It won't be as crowded in the non-summer monthes, but then it's not as hot so. Blizzard beach is definately better than typhoon lagoon as it is more of a thrill waterpark and typhoon lagoon is more of a relaxing place.

    4) The fast food counter service gets old fast, but there are many tasty and healthy options at the sitdown restaraurants (My favorites are Liberty Tree Tavern at the magic kingdom, and 50s prime time cafe at Hollywood Studios, especially for your age range)

    5) As i said before everything is suitable for your ages as long as you are all tall enough

Most of all enjoy it, and make sure you get to the parks at openings and use fastpass or you won't enjoy the rides as much after waiting in all the lines

  3. The bus can be a pain going to different parks, say if your staying at the Port Orleans resort, sometimes you have to connect to another bus at downtown disney.......We had a three bus trip from port Orleans to the Hoop de Doo revue at fort wilderness.....if you are relying on the bus system, you have to have someone memorizing the bus schedule in order to minimze the travel time ..........say its after the fireworks and its late, you might be at a park  and  you may have to  catch a connecting bus at downtown disney........make sure someone gets a travel book for disney and it will save alot of time on the bus........really!

the magic kingdom has plenty to do, splash mountain, thunder mountain, pirates of the Caribbean, the haunted mansion.etc  etc...

I would spend most of the day at blizzard beach....

plenty of thrill rides....tower of terror/rock and roller coaster(MGM)  star tours   lots of good rides......

  4. 1.  It usually take 20 minutes to get from one park to another.  I remember one time it took us 45 minutes to get from Animal Kingdom to Downtown Disney.  FYI: If you want to go to a Disney hotel, you need to first hop on a bus to the closest park then hop on a bus from there to the Disney hotel you desire to go.

    2.  Lots to do like Splash, Space, Thunder, Haunted Mansion, Tea Cups, Autotopia, Philarmagic, Laugh Factory, Stitch, BUZZ, just to name a few.

    3.  We spent about 5 hours there.  The toboggans are fun, so are the tube slides.  You have to try Summit Plummet!

    4.  Studios:  Sci-Fi Theater Diner, Backlot Express

    Animal Kingdom: Flame Tree BBQ

Magic Kingdom: Crystal Palace (Great Breakfast Buffet), Cosmic Ray's, NOODLE STATION!!!

Epcot: Electric Umbrella, Tokyo Dining, Teppan Edo, Cantina de San Angel

Blizzard: Avalunch It's pretty much the only place you can eat there.

    5. Yes, there's lots of rides.  Tower, Rockin, Everest, Mission Space, Test Track....  just to name a few.

If you can check out Island of Adventure at Universal.

  5. 1. It takes different amounts of times, but none are too long.

    2. A lot, space mountain, splash mountain, big thunder mountain railroad, wow they really like their mountains

    3.  Never been there

    4. Very good, expensive, amusement park food is never healthy.

    5. Yes, space mountain, splash mountain, big thunder mountain railroad, Pirates, soarin' ride, mission space, test track, dinosaur, expedition everest, rockin' roller coaster, star wars thrill ride, tower of terror,

Downtown Disney is also a place you don't want to miss. Shopping, music, lego-land

  6. 1. Ideally, it only takes 15 minutes to get between parks. But in the real world, you might as well allow an hour.  You never know how long the line will be to get on the bus, how many buses you might have to wait through until you can get on, and then actual transport time.  If you are trying to get to a reservation at another park, allow yourself an hour.

    2. There's lots for all ages!  Magic Kingdom has the most actual rides of the parks, and you will stay busy.  Just be willing to try everything.

    3. Water parks are usually about a half-day.  4 hours or so.

    4.  Food is ok.  If you eat at counter-service restaurants, it's similar to fast-food.  There are some sit-down restaurants with some really good food.  This website http://www.allearsnet.com has all the menus and prices.

    5. Lots of rides, yes. Disney doesn't have a ton of thrill rides and roller coasters, but there's plenty.  That website I mentioned also has a list of all the rides.

  7. 1. 10-15 minutes

    2. alot

    3.4 hrs.

    4.yes.

    5.yes-MGM studios and animal kingdom

    hope this helped.

  8. Bekka--first of all, check out this site for first time visitors to Walt Disney World: http://yourfirstvisit.net

Second, figure 20 mins to 45 minutes to get from park to park (it's about 15 minutes on the bus, and the rest is waiting for the bus.)

    A couple of exceptions:

--you can walk between Epcot and and the studios--about 20 minutes (there also a boat that takes as long, but you may have to wait another 15 minutes for it)

--and you don't bus between the Magic Kingdom and the other parks.  First you take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to the Ticket and Transportation Center, and then you either take a different monorail to Epcot from there, or you take a bus to Studios or the Animal Kingdom.  The extra step for trips involving the magic kingdom adds about 15 more minutes to those trips.

There's a ton of stuff to do for you guys at the Magic Kingdom and all the other parks as well.  The thumbnail on this page rates all the rides at WDW by their appeal to age groups.  Focus on the rides on the right side of the thumbnail, especially the underlined ones!: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-...

The waterparks are a matter of personal taste.  If you are a fan of waterparks you could easily spend a day at each of Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

The food is all over the place.  It's never bad, and in some of the sit-down restaurants is spectacular.  For counter-service, try especially Pecos Bills in the Magic Kingdom, Sunshine Seasons at Epcot, Flame Tree Barbecue in AK, and the group of options near Rock N' Roller at the Studios.  For more on the sit-down restaurants, follow the links on this page: http://yourfirstvisit.net/planning-your-...

Hope this helps and have a great trip!! Dave
