  1. I read this book a few months and really enjoyed it. I have to say it was quite different than what I had expected (and of course, I can't explain what exactly I expected), but I found it very...relaxing.

Haha that sounds sort of funny. I just felt as if the story was written with a significantly different style and pacing than most of what you read nowadays. It had the feel of a gentle parable.

I liked the ideas that Coelho brought to the book. His story of young Santiago was perfectly suited to illustrate the task all of us must seek to accomplish: the finding of our own destiny.

I'm glad you liked it too. Alot of people I know have found it "unbearably boring". Haha too bad..

  2. I think it was okay, but not the best book ever.  Not bad, but not great.  The author had a good idea when he wrote it, but I still think he could have done something more with his ideas.  I met the author and he is so Irish its not even funny lol.  If you want a great book, try the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer.  I LOVE IT!  Mmmmm Edward... *drools over keyboard* lol
