What is going on with the weather??? It was like 105 on monday and today its like 75!

Just wondering...and please-no global warming descriptions...

You southern Californians experience a strong westerly wind called a Santa-Ana that brings in warm air in from the surrounding desserts. This wind is a drying wind. That's why the fire threat is so sever when these winds occur.

The name Santa Ana derived from the Santa Ana mountain which are known to experience particularly strong winds.

Just be glad it's not that way all the time!
