For preschool teachers or anyone who can answer it?

it states that the teacher may have to present clear alternatives of ways to share what children have learned .give 3 such alternatives for a class project.Give specific of how each would be completed with children ,not just a general idea .Example make a class book . How would you accomplish this ? how could the children help in physically putting the book together ? to whom and how would it be presented .give me details of the plan

If you had a digical camera you could take pictures of each of the children working on the project.  2)  Put examples of the childrens work also in the class book.  They could each take a page and paste in their work and also add their picture.  Sorry that is as far as I can think right now.

i work in a preschool for half of my classes and we do a portfoilio on each child, we take pictures in the begining of the year and at the end, we measure and weigh them in the beginning and the end, we do anodotel obersvations and regular observations, we sample thier art work in the protfolio and all in all just show how the child has grown and progressed over the year.

At my school , we make a portfolio for each child.

There are three sections in the beginning:

Friends- Who do they play with- do they parallel play-have pictures available

Family- Ask questions about family traditions- write down what they say

Favorites- where they like to play, what they like to do at school- include pictures.

Then we have a section that shows developmental growth:

Small motor- show cutting samples-maybe a picture of them cutting. One at beginning , middle and end of the year.

Large motor- do an obstacle course and write down- how they balance, can they skip etc..

Cognitive skills- have a two-three step directions for a project- write down if they could follow the steps. include the project in the portfolio.

Let them pick out things they created during the year in their portfolio.

Remember to make sure everything is Developmentally appropriate!
