Question:

For regular readers of Billiards Digest?

Does anyone else feel that Tom Ross has been putting way too much of his own politics into his column in the last few months? Even in the subtext, it's very thinly veiled. Frankly, I don't care what his beliefs are on the war in Iraq or his opinion of Ann Coulter. He shouldn't be using a respected pool magazine as his own personal political soapbox. Regardless of what your political views are, can we agree that "Billiards Digest" is not an appropriate outlet? M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  1. Haven't taken the magazine in quite a bit....3-4 years!!.....but even back then it seemed to be that way as well....pool is like an escape for me from all that goes around me....the game is fun but challenging at the same time and for a few hours(weekends) it provides an escape.....reading about it is the same....I am looking to learn not  to "politic".....so stick to the politics involved with the game and not the outside going ons.....I am very politically opinionated and would be the type to tell it like it is but not around my pool.....enough to worry about with the "politics" of the game/match and trying to stay on the table!!
