From day 1 when we told our 4yr boy that we were going to have a baby he was sooooo excited. He tells me everyday that its a girl. When i ask him what if it's a boy he doesn't even want to talk about it.....he says i just want a girl.. I think its so cute.

My question is have you ever had your older child say what it is and be right? If not how did they act towards the other choice. I know there is a 50/50 chance either way and there is no way of telling until our U/S on 9-16 but just curious for FUN. Good luck to all you mommies.

  1. My oldest said she was sure that she would have a sister.  I thought I was having a boy.  She was right.

  2. Hehe I was in the same situation, my oldest is 4 and now my youngest is 8 weeks old. I wanted a girl sooo bad, but my son wanted a boy and when I say "what if its a girl" he would change the topic..

Anyway my baby is a boy, and seeing  my 4 year old happy with the baby makes me feel muchhh more happier than ever........ I found out the s*x with the ultrasound and told my son the very next day....

  3. I had my second one when my oldest son was two. Now I am pregnant with my number three. My oldest is six and my youngest is four.  When I told them that I was pregnant and having a baby. Now my youngest doesn't understand but does know there baby in my belly. My oldest son said baby sister. That all he says baby sister. I told him it might be a boy but no it a sister to him. I had my ultrasound in July. We think it a girl for right now. The baby kept on moving. I have another ultrasound in October hoping this time we see the s*x so know for sure want I am having.

  4. Well this will be my third baby, but my oldest was spot on. He is also 4. He has said that he was having a little sister since I told him that there was going to be a new baby in the house. He was excited when I told him that he was right. He also would not accept talking about a little brother, he said he already has one.

  5. We told our then 2 year old that it would be a boy OR a girl, and she told everyone at playgroup that I was having twins, because she thought we meant there would be one of each and she could choose which to keep!

At that point we decided to find out the s*x at the scan :)

  6. My daughter was almost four when our second was born.  She never had an inkling to what it was as far as we could tell, but she wanted a baby sister...  That is until her baby sister got here.  Now she tells us repeatedly that Natalie should have been a boy.  *laugh*  What can you do?

Good luck with your pregnancy!  I hope your son gets his sister!

  7. My oldest son was also 4 when I was expecting my second. He didn't really specify and didn't have all that much to say about it! There are times when I think he might be a little more patient if his younger sibling was a girl but he's still pretty loving most of the time.
