For some reason aim on my phone only shows up with like 5 buddies and then like 10 offline...ANNOYINGG!! ?

on my phone when i go on aim, only like a few people come up..its so weird,. like five are online and like 10 are off? how do i fix this? it says i dont need an upgrade but its not the new aim symbol ( the red one) its the running man. my old phone had the newwer aim..but it says i dont need an upgrade?? HELPPP PLEASEEE

I had a situation like this on one of my older samsung phones.  I would only see a couple people online and later i figured out that when you log onto your AIM from a computer, on your buddy list you'll see that your phone created a seperate group that only your phone can see and not everybody is in that category but you can still add people to that category
