I'll take a shower at night using Tresemme for all hair types shampoo

And then i'll blow dry it before i go to bed and it seems very soft and managable.

But when i wake up in the morning it appears to be realyl thin and oily.

What can i do to stop this?

Is it coming just from sleeping on my hair?

Should i wear a pony tail in or something all night?

Thanks for an suggestions

  1. You should get shampoo for oily hair, sometimes people just have more oily hair than others.

  2. Okay. This means your hair is very healthy actually. It looks greasy but thats from natural oils in your hair. Heres what I would do.

    1. When you sleep, oils run off on to your pillow case, so wash at least you pillow cases once a week.

    2. Dont use shampoo for all types of hair, its not working for your hair. Try using something that is for your hair, like curly, straight, dyed or long. Herbal Essences is my favorite. Tressemme didnt work for me either, it actually dried my hair out lol

    3. At night dont use conditioner in your hair, just shampoo.

    4. IN the morning put some hair softner in it and brush it with a bristle brush so its nice, clean and shiney.

    Hope this helps!

  3. I would try a different shampoo, and if you able, wash your hair in the morning.  I have greasy hair and face when I wake up no matter how great a shower I had prior to bed.  I had to adjust my schedule so that I do all my stuff in the morning.

  4. Wear a ponytail and wash your pillowcase* :) Also dont blow dry it if its not nessicary

  5. The same thing happens to me!

I think its from the oils and sweat or whatever you get when you sleep? I'm not really sure.

But I DO know that if you put baby powder in your hair, mainly where it gets the most greasy [which is on my hair line] before you go to sleep it shouldn't be as greasy. It works for me all the time.

And don't worry about it if it's turns your hair white when you first put it in. It'll come out when you're sleeping.

  6. It could be oils from your scalp OR when you sleep your hair rubs up against your face and gets oily and greasy. Try putting your hair up at night and wash your face really good.

  7. You have a lot of natural oils in your scalp - this is good for your hair!

You are what you eat - if you eat greasy meals stop.

  8. okay this used to happen to me all the time!

i took the pillow case off of my pillow (i dont use it anymore) because when you sleep the oil from your face (even if you do not have oily skin you still have oil) gets on the pillow, then overtime, in your hair.

so wash your pillow about every 2 weeks (if you have a washable one)

also, i use Joico shampoo (you can buy it at Ulta) they are relatively cheap and they treat oily and treated hair.

when you put conditioner in your hair, try only applying it from about your ear lobes down. and when you rinse your hair, use cold water. cold water locks in the conditioner but it also rinses it out faster.

there is one more product that i would recommend and its called Its A 10! its FABULOUS! i love it! its used as a leave in conditioner and you ONLY spray the bottom of your hair.

then pick your hair (with a pick) and use a natural boar bristle brush to get ALL the tangles out!

    :] hope i helpedddd
