For someone with SVT and AND mitral valve, what meds may work?

  1. your cardiologist should have you on a prescription.  It is up to your Dr of course and not us on here, but you need a med to control this. I am on Atenolol. Without it I am in the 120's and feel awful and pace the floors. Best wishes to you to find a good Dr.


  2. Ask a doctor. Meds for heart conditions need to be prescribed

I was on Atenolol.  It made my rate low and I felt sluggish a lot.  I had cardiac ablation and it fixed the problem.  I now don't have to take any meds at all.  It is very nice because I never have to worry about my heart.  As for the mitral valve, I just don't drink caffeine and it's not too bad.
