Is it required or highly reccommended that they are fluent in foreign languages?

  1. Hehe. You didn't need to ask out loud. I told you already, silly. FYI, in careers where you work with people on a certain language (e.g., English) it is required that you are an absolute master of THAT language, not any other. If you happen to work in a community that predominantly speaks another language, it would help your cause to speak that language in order to communicate with family and so forth. However, when it comes time to work, you'll be working strictly on/with the English language, and all your expertise will be based on the English language (i.e. phonetic, semantics, and pragmatics). The language liaison is responsible for being bilingual and communicating in other languages.
