  1. of course, they are very special to me, as they were my students.

  2. yes

  3. Only the really bad or the really good ones!

I see students everywhere that remember me though.  I taught them when they were 12 or 13 and they are now 30;  I guess they've changed more than I have because I rarely recognize them.

  4. No, unfortunately I'm only one person. I've had a lot of students. I remember some of them really well. I usually don't forget their faces.  When I run into past students I try to remember who they are, but I also wait for clues in the conversations.

  5. Absolutely.  Especially the very good ones and the very bad ones.  We may not remember your name, but we will remember the face.

  6. I know that a lot of my teachers remembered me years later but I'm not a teacher myself

  7. Yes and no. We remember most faces and can determine how through conversations. However, we all have certain students (for a variety of reasons--both good and not-so-good) who are absolutely unforgettable.
