For the 100m women's race will the American who came in after the 3 Jamaicans get a bronze medal?

Someone said when they tie for silver the bronze is not awarded.

Anyone know the rule?

I noticed the official results list the winners as 1, 2, and 2, with the American runner as 4.

You won't see the Americans with a bronze medal in the women's 100m dash.

The American will get the bronze.  Edit.... to the thumbs down I suggest you check the results.   Edit I stand corrected, that's even better, no medal for the American.

The bronze would not be awarded. The American didn't finish 3rd so they won't get a medal.
