For the 2nd. time need price list for normal living at KSA?

I'm Egyptian , I got a contract to work at Al-Khobar KSA for 2000 SR + accomodation & medical care except tooth , eyes & surgery . Defenetly what I ask about , is that I need a price list for essential goods in KSA , I mean Normal Bread,normal drinking water (not mineral),milk,cheese,meat, vegetables,fruits,Rice,soap for washing & for bathroom ... etc , also if I need any other medical care from those who are excepted (Eyes,tooth,Surgery) what shall I do , Thanks alot , please need acurate answers .

so, 2000 RS will be for your personal use ( clothes,goods..etc)

bread it cost 1 RS ,Vegetables differs from one item to another but its usually cheap maybe 15-20 for 1 KG

drinking water(around 500 mL) 1 RS , milk around 5 RS , meat differ from place to place ,fruits around 8-20 KG , Rice idon't know , soap there is 1 RS and there is 20 RS , shampoo there is 5 RS and there is 40 RS ! , medical care is not expensive except tooth and surgery , if you wanna make extraction for one of your tooth it maybe cost 250RS .

Generally , Saudi is a cheap country when you compare it to others .

I know some Egyptions with 3000 RS and they have cars and their familier with them !

accurate answers its too difficult , bcz your question depend on many criteria (from where you wanna buy ? which brand you want ? )

while you've accomodation & health insurance thats will be fine for you .

Bread sr2.50 per loaf

pita bread 1.50 per bag of 4 slices (depends on store brand)

water 1.5 liter bottle 2sr

rice 60 to 100 SR per 10kilo bag (depends on quality of rice)

cheese (what cheese?) yogurt 1sr per cup container

Labanah (yogurt cheese) 1sr per 1 cup container

cheedar cheese  45 to 50 sr per 1kilo block

soap. (depends on brand, cheapo or expensive) anywhere from 1sr per bar up to 5sr per bar

shampoo (normal 1/2 kilo container of shampoo) 20Sr

toothpaste (I use coalgate large original flavor) 4sr

produce (well depends from week to week, grocers have sales) but fairly reasonable.. like 1.50sr for kilo of potatoes

2 to 3 sr for kilo of tomatoes

1sr for bag of parsley

3sr for kilo of onions (sometimes cheaper if on sale)

dont know about general medicine cause we are on medical plan from my husband employer..

as for dental.. we have shopped around lately (cause I had dental work last month).. of the 5 I saw in town (Khobar) charged 100sr for initial visit and for filling 50sr.. pulling 150sr for root canal 1000 up to 2000sr depending on clinic..

eye's hmm? sr 500 up to 1000sr for complete eye exam and glasses. (depends on the brand of the eye glass frame you choose)
