For the Christians...?

...preferably the type that think you need to accept Jesus to have a good life.

Just because I'm bored, if the above premise is true, why is my life so great? I'm generally very happy. I'm going to school, have a good job, great boyfriend, take minor misfortune with a laugh. Pretty much everything works out in my favor and nothing terribly bad happens to me.

So why does God give me an awesome life when I don't believe in the divinity of Jesus?

  1. Right on! I say there's no reason to keep this life all clean and mellow just so you have the promise of going some place that might not even exist after you die.

    Enjoy while you can!

  2. Because he's hunting you down.  How do you know it's God who's giving you that stuff?  It could be satan himself for all you know.  It doesn't come from God until you've thanked him for what you have.

  3. Believing in Jesus does not mean you'll have a great life.  It means you'll have a great afterlife.

  4. Well, you're having a good life! Obvious and silly question. You don't need to believe in Jesus to have a WONDERFUL life; you're thinking of fanatical Christians that believe you must take in everything from Bible, in order to live your life to full potential.

So believe what you want to believe!

  5. Being a Christian means you'll probably have a crappy life - look at Paul, before he was beheaded he went through horrible things.

But true spiritual joy comes from knowing that someone ALWAYS loves you and cares about you.  What happens when you lose your parents, your boyfriend... and you have no one?

God doesn't give people an awesome life many times, Satan does.  Be careful where your blessings are coming from.  Maybe Satan wants you so blissfully happy in your own fortune that you forget about the misfortune of others, those that starve to death and have nothing and you forget your own need for God and those that need him too.

As the Bible says: "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing, and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked"

The person thinks he is something when he's not.

  6. well the bible talks about the prince of this world-- satan

he will provide you too with material possesions, power, status, everything you think you may need.

god loves you even though you dont know him yet, and he is merciful and patient with you to find him.

some very good christians have hard lives, and barely anything.

glad you are happy now, i hope you do find jesus and accept him as lord and savior, it will be the greatest love you will ever know..  god bless

  7. Here is a story Jesus told someone who was in the same predicament as you. The story is applicable to you too: It is taken from the gospel according to Luke:

16And he told them this parable: "The ground of a certain rich man produced a good crop. 17He thought to himself, 'What shall I do? I have no place to store my crops.'

18"Then he said, 'This is what I'll do. I will tear down my barns and build bigger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19And I'll say to myself, "You have plenty of good things laid up for many years. Take life easy; eat, drink and be merry." '

20"But God said to him, 'You fool! This very night your life will be demanded from you. Then who will get what you have prepared for yourself?'

21"This is how it will be with anyone who stores up things for himself but is not rich toward God."

Edit: Nobody is trying to convert you. Your heart is hard because God has not chosen you. He hasn't chosen you because He knows your character.

  8. Chelz, knock on wood, knock on wood!

You'll draw the attention of the misfortune gods if you don't!

  9. If you have achieved a well rounded life without believing in the "divinity of Jesus" then you are doing nothing wrong. You don't need to be forced into believing anything you don't want to believe. If someone is telling you believe that Jesus is divine or God would not accept you then that is a person whose opinion doesn't matter.

Don't let anyone change your opinion, stay confident, and keep living a great life.

  10. Good things come to us all (Christian or not), and so do the bad.  Enjoy the good times while you can but prepare for the bad which will inevitably come your way.

  11. its not this life.....its the after life. enjoy what you have while you got it.

  12. However, I say to YOU: Continue to love YOUR enemies and to pray for those persecuting YOU;  that YOU may prove yourselves sons of YOUR Father who is in the heavens, since he makes his sun rise upon wicked people and good and makes it rain upon righteous people and unrighteous. Matthew 5:44-45

Jehovah god expects us to be kind to our enemies, should we expect any less of him?

  13. You just said it: "Nothing terribly bad happens to me." Don't trust your luck, sister, cause nobody gets through this world without facing storms, and if you haven't faced one yet, WAIT! It's coming. I'm glad you have a great life. But grief and pain come to everyone, Christian or not. When you are facing the loss of something or someone you truly love, that is when your soul is tested. I hope you pass the test. Best wishes and God bless you.

  14. Do you think the devil is going to bother someone that he knows he already has?

Or do you think the devil is going to go after a Christian who is doing God's work and uplifting Jesus and trying to tell people that the only way to heaven is by and through Jesus Christ?

    John 14:6

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

Before I was saved the world would of said I had it made in the shade.

The devil had my soul and i had the dough

When I received Jesus in my heart the devil was steaming mad and tried to mess me up everyway I turned

    But you know something

What Jesus gave me is something that is worth more than all the gold and silver in this world

    He gave me eternal life

    and I follow Jesus

Greater is He who is in Me than he who is in the world
