Its bassically a resume.

You should include things like your training, interests and roles(like school plays)

CV is short for curriculum vitae (translated as "course of life") It focuses more on education, publications, and other accomplishments. Both it and./or a resume (which focuses on experience) are typically used to screen applications, often followed by an interview, when seeking employment.
