Question:

For the Intel Science Talent Search Application, How much words should each Essay Question have>?

IN the directions it says,

"Answer each of the five questions in 300 words or fewer"

Now im confused, does that mean

1. EACH of the five questions must be 300 words or kess

or

2. The five questions should have 300 words ALL TOGETHER

Anyone have any ideas?

  1. It doesn't say "answer ALL  of the 5 questions in 300 words or fewer"...it says "answer EACH of the 5 questions in 300 words or less". So...unless they wrote it incorrectly...you have to write  each answer in 300 words or less.


  2. Each has to have 300 or less. But, if you ever have have to say "how much words should each essay question have" ever again, I recommend saying "how many", considering that's proper english...

  3. It's "how many" words.  Not to nit-pick, but it is an essay.

    "Each of the five questions" means that each should be 300 words or fewer, meaning you can have no more than 1500 words in total.

  4. Answer the questions and don't run over 300 words.  A word is  considered to be 5 key strokes.  They just don't want to spend the rest of their life reading.
