Basically yes. The Wings have Home Ice advantage due to their record.

Essentially there are only two formats, there's a 2-2-1-1-1 (what you have above) or a 2-3-2. I don't believe Hockey has ever used the 2-3-2 format, but basketball has experimented w/ it.

after tonights game it will be detroit and the pens since the wings won the pres trophy they will have home ice advantage. if they do the finals this year like they did last year it will b different thn the other rounds

Detroit is the winning est of ALL clubs.....so the home ice advantage is theirs through the whole playoff and final.

As of last night, Detroit will be home a majority of the playoffs, and they start the playoffs at home and if game seven occurs, that will be home for Detroit.

The Home team has the darker/non-white jersey, away has the white jersey.

It's best of seven, so it will be
