For the SF Bay Area hopitality industry.?

I moved away from SF 3 years ago. I always did really well working as a server in the SF restaurants. I've decided to move back to the North Bay. I saw that the rents are reasonable in Santa Rosa. I'm curious about the industry. How are the restaurants and wineries doing in Sonoma and Napa county? Is there money to be made working as a full time server? Also I'll be relocating next spring with a small dog. Does anyone know of any Apt. complexes in a nice neighborhood of Santa Rosa that excepts small dogs?
