  1. Here are the ones I just got about two weeks ago and I really like them and they are inexpensive.  Of coarse get the women's version.

  2. I've owned several and my best advice to you is to buy a more expensive short, no matter which brand.  If you spend at least $80 on them you're likely to get a comfortable, well-made short that you'll like to ride in.  Some of the cheaper ones are just fine, but be sure to try on several pairs to get a feel for all of the different chamois out there.

The ones that have been the most comfortable to me are Pearl Izumi, Louis Garneau, and Specialized.  I had a pair of Assos that I loved (which someone actually stole...who steals used bike shorts?!?), but knowing that cheaper shorts are also very comfy I wouldn't buy another pair of them now.  Castelli are also very nice (and priced like the Assos).

As a woman, good fitting shorts with a GREAT chamois will be much more important to you than for us guys...so be sure to try on a bunch before you buy.   Hope this helps some.

  3. Pearl Izumi is good & affordable. Assos is the best, but very expensive.
