  1. Tehehe. I *was* eating lunch! Yay Ramen. :)

I became interested in training when I was about eight, so my parents enrolled me in a Jr. Trainers course (where they train you to train), I "graduated" from all four levels when I was fifteen, and then registered under a professional behaviorist/trainer whom taught me the basis of animal behaviorism , in combination, I attended CCPDT daily, for three hours.

When I turned 16, I had accumulated 300 course hours, then I started volunteering with rescue groups, shelters, vet offices until I graduated high school, took the test and was certified through the NADOI.

I don't have years and years of experience like other people on here do, but as soon as I received my certification, I jumped into the field, and haven't looked back. I take nightly classes on veterinary science, animal behaviorism, and I'm working to increase my degree.

I'm 19 now, so I've been in the field for about eleven years, but in a more legal sense, only three years.

By favorite breed to work with is definitely the APBT. I love the energy and will to please & learn.

My absolute worst case to date was a dog that suffered from fear aggression. It literally feared quite everything. I gave it my all for about two weeks, and saw absolutely no progress. I'd thrown everything I had at this dog, and nothing worked. Finally, after a long discussion with the rescue group, shelter, and two vets, we decided the best thing to do was to put the dog down.

  2. The feeling of taking a green animal and turning it into something that very few dogs can achieve. Taking a dog and training it to serve human kind and making the world safer for all involved!

I got into it because I was always fascinated by how dogs worked and I had the great fortune to meet what I consider one of the best trainers in the world when I was 12 years old. He had been training police dogs in Holland since the 40's...I think he knew what he was doing!

I have been doing it for a little over 28 years now and if you count the time I spent learning...about 32 years...d**n I am old!!!

I enjoy working with working breeds, dogs that can do bite work which is what I LOVE more then anything, I love working with any dog that is stable, clear in the head and handler hard!!

My favorite all time breed ever is the Belgian Malinois, the epitomy of what a working dog should be and every working dog wants to become when it grows up!!

No worse case, just a lot of fun and many close calls, but, that comes with the trade!

    Hope I helped!

  3. You know i like your questions!

I do rescue and foster for the animal shelter in the city i live in. I not only care for dogs, but i take care of cats too. I got into it by going to the shelter. They set me up. I train my own and i know i can help out with others. I have been working with animals since i was about 15. training and fostering since i moved into my own house about 4 years ago. I am now 26. I am currently fostering/rehabilitating a pitbull who was found running with duct tape on his mouth and his legs. He has no ears, and he is all chewed up. he is doing well. he lives with my chihuaua. he is the roughest thing i have had to deal with. he is constantly fighting with everything. he is food agressive... he fights when their is toys near... he is good about everything other then the food and the toys. i think he was the bait dog. I think that he will change. he just needs time. he has to gain about 20 pounds and he will get neutered. The neighbors already want to own him... but i think they want to continue fighting him. he might end up staying with me. He is awesome and seems to have bonded with us.

I like working with anyone who needs help. I dont have a particular. But i am really enjoying the pitbull. I would love to save everyone. but it is possible. I know it is a hard thing to let go.
