  1. Answer C is what you want to represent just the two rolls of the die, with a 2 as the second roll.

    D is all possible rolls.


  2. So you find how many possibilities for a second toss to be a 2?

    (1,1) (1,2) (1,3) ........

    (2,1) (2,2) (2,3) (2,4).....

    (3,1) (3,2) (3,3) (3,4).......

    and so on...

    so answer d would give all of the possible rolls that can have a 2.
