If the two teams in the Stanley Cup finals are the same seed, then how do they know who's home first? Do they go by regular season record?

  1. Regular season point total. If still tied, the greater number of games won. If they're STILL tied, then they count the greater number of points earned in games between the tied clubs.


  2. The team with the better regular season record get home ice advantage. then they go to tie-breakers: head to head is the first one.

  4. It goes the point totals, not by seed.

  5. If after all the tie breakers. Points, Wins, Losses, Head to head, Goals for, and Goals against, the two are still tied they flip a coin.
