this is not normal to me....I am usually pretty balanced down there, and for the last couple of days I have been extremely dry that it is painful to walk and sit down.

I am not sexually active, still a virgin...24 yrs old..i don't wear tight pants..i change my underwear every 8-10 hours..i shower with Dove soap twice a day..I don't douche...and i don't use tampons..please..what could this be..

I don't have a gyno because I am not sexually active....I know I should go to one just to be healthy but I didn't think I needed to. Please help me...

  1. Perhaps you have a hormonal imbalance or a yeast infection.  I have had a yeast issue where it feels dry and painful, not necessarily itchy.  I would not use soap on your lady parts, just warm water. Try an over the counter yeast remedy, and if that doesn't clear it up, make an appointment to see a gyno.  You don't need to be sexually active to have a gyno doctor.

  2. It could be a start to a yeast infection. Try drinking more water, and maybe getting some vaginal wipes, I think they are called vagisil wipes, they are located next to the tampons in most grocery stores. Other than more water to drink, take a bath and try not to worry to much about it unless you stay really dry for over a week, then see a doctor.
