  1. I switched majors nearly every semester as an undergraduate...this gave me exposure to all the main disciplines in business (broad perspective on business).  I finally ended up in human resources management.  I then went on for my MBA and this time emphasized training and development...this allowed me to understand how people, especially adults, learn and what they need to do so most effectively.  Then I went on for my doctorate...and this time I picked marketing...this major added the "icing on the cake" allowing me to tie in my understanding of human behavior and how people learn with the application of marketing strategies to influence human behavior.

I became a college professor...and I think the knowledge of HR and training and development gave me insights into the learning process that help me communicate marketing principles to my students in a way to maximize their learning.

  2. I majored in Business Economics with an emphasis in Accounting.  I started my career as a CPA, then went into industry and worked as a Controller and then CFO.  Now I own a software company that I founded with my husband.  If I had to pick all over again I would do it exactly the same way.
