  1. well good upgrades for a 98 are expensive... you can go cheap but it depends on what game you play... for woodsball id get a flatline barrel... it is like 80$ so its pricey but for woodsball you'll be able to take out people before they can even get paint close to you... the added range is unmatched and its accurate... i have it and as long as you don't use cheap walmart paint you should be fine... you don't have to get top of the line paint just not the really cheap paint... if you play speedball i'd get a response trigger... this will turn your 98 from semi-auto to near full-auto while still being legal in most all parks... but with the RT you'll need a new hopper that feeds balls fast enough so all together it will be expensive... Either way i suggest playing with stock parts a few times so you can figure out your style and then buy appropriate upgrades.

  2. definatly but an upgrade barrel, i wouldnt buy a Flatline, there expensive, picky with what paint you use and not all that accurate, they just shoot far. I suggest a J&J performance ceramic barrel, its cheap and very accurate.

  3. Upgrade the barrel.  For the best performance for price, you cannot go wrong with a 12" or 14" J&J Performance ceramic barrel (~$30.)

After you've added a new barrel, my suggestion is to play with the marker before you start considering additional upgrades.  This way, you will be able to determine for yourself which upgrades are most suitable for your needs, skills, and playing ability.

  4. Get a barrel flatlines can shoot "funky" so i would go with a linear or a J&J. More expensive barrels would be like an ultralite, pepper stick or freak(my preference).

  5. Get a flat line barrel. Then next upgrade the trigger and hopper. Be careful it can get really expensive.
