  1. "are"

  2. Use 'are', the subjects are 'challenges and presurres' are plural.

  3. The conjunction and, along with the plural nouns challenges and pressures require the plural verb "are".

    :D

  4. Are is plural, is is singular. Challenges and pressures are plural.

  5. 'are'

    :)

  6. "are now between...etc.."

  7. "Are".  Plural subject.

  8. Are                 of course.

  9. Try to get rid of the "that".  It's an overused, unnecessary word.

I agree with the others - you need to say "are".

I would write it like this:

"My family and my coursework are the current challenges, and pressures, I have in college."

  10. I also have trouble sometimes using the words "are" and "is".

Identify the sentence that has correct subject-verb agreement.

a)Nothing except sitcoms and cartoons are going to be on TV tonight.

b)Nothing except sitcoms and cartoons were on TV tonight.

c)Nothing except sitcoms and cartoons is on TV tonight.

d)Nothing except sitcoms and cartoons are on TV tonight.

    The answer: C

I thought it would answer was D. Isn't sitcoms and cartoons plural, so shouldn't "are" be it the right place of the sentence.

  11. I would put "are now".
