  1. Wow, talk about confrontational...

In my experience, most people aren't exactly "against vegetarianism."  They just think eating meat is better, and some can be a bit rude about it.

  2. I am not against vegetarians.  I could care less what others eat.  I am against those who promote lies to further their cause for veg*nism.   I am very much against PETA and their methods.

  3. I don't get it either.  Meat eaters can obviously see that we are a little open minded about other peoples beliefs on eating meat, but they are not at all.  I really want to see the responses people put.

This wasn't really an answer, but a comment on your question.  Sorry!

How are you going to pick a best answer?

  4. I don't think most people are 'against' being a vegetarian. Who cares what your food choices are. What we may be against is a vegetarian's spouting off about our inhumanity by eating meat and or dairy and promoting animal cruelty.

I love veggies and fruits and could easily live off a vegetarian diet if I had to. But I don't. I love pretty much all food including things even a devout meat-eater wouldn't touch. I can't do the veal though - I will admit that but it's Delicious all the same.

I have found in my many years on this earth being raised by hippie parents is that most vegetarians with loud vocal opinions have never been raised on a farm or ever been near one. They listen to a lot of propaganda with no clear opinions of their own. They don't realize or care how many pesticides, vaccines, food supplements, antibiotics etc are actually OK for organic farmers to use. I know, I work for a major animal health distributor and some of our best customers raise organic meat and produce!

  5. I would rather never touch a veggie or a fruit if I could get away with it.  All I would eat is meats.

I don't care if you want to yank those poor little veggies out of the ground or yank those poor little fruits off vines and trees. That is your problem.

  6. I'm not against vegetarianism. Heck, I pretty much never eat meat. I think a lot of the comments you see on here are because a lot of people who don't restrict their meat consumption feel that they'll be attacked. Many vegetarians have reasons for being a vegetarian that can sound judgmental. (If someone doesn't eat meat because they think it's wrong to kill animals, then if you eat meat, it's easy to assume that they'd think you're doing something wrong or immoral.)

That's all. They feel judged. Of course they're going to get defensive. The most vocal vegetarians don't really sound open-minded about the decision of others regarding the consumption of meat/other animal products. It's unfortunate, but that's how it goes.

  7. i know what you mean as my brother is totally biased and wont stop bugging me for being a pescatarian (id get the sh*t beaten out of me if i said vegetarian lol :P

  8. This is like religion. Whatever religion you are and you are happy with its great, just dont try to get other people to join it. I have a lot of vegetarian friends and when we go out I eat my burger, they eat their salads and such and no one says a word about each others food choices. Eat what you feel is right. I just hate when people run around screaming that meat is murder!!

  9. People with attitudes such as yours is why I am against veg*ns.

  10. I'm a vegetarian but nothing annoys me more than a veggie on a mission.

Everyone should just shut up, eat what they want and stop fixating on what to call themselves or why others who eat a piece of fish once a  year aren't part of the exlusive club.

    Who cares?

  11. well im sortof vegetarian...but why people are soo mean about it is cuz most of us go preach to people to join them and scream meat is murder and think u are horrible if u eat meat! it gets annoying to hear people preach about it...just shutup, do your own d**n thing, and dont ***** to other people about it... also, when somebody accidentally eats meat, for some reason, they are looked at as terible people by other vegetarians and are out of "the club" and are treated worse cuz of their slipup...some vegetarians are mean to other people who arent veg and even those who are but slip up!...sorry bout the rant...but i think it very true
