For those familiar with Mellon Arena...?

I have tickets in section E12, row O, seats 8-7, and they are limited view. Does anyone know what is obstructing the view? Is it a large concrete pillar, or is it no big deal? There's a seating chart here: http://penguins.nhl.com/team/app/?service=page&page=NHLPage&bcid=tic_mellonarena

  1. i have been there many times and if i am correct i believe the scoreboard will be in your way i believe your seats are higher up than what the scoreboard is and will have that in your way.

  2. Dont worry its just a fat lady.

  3. I sit in E-14 (season ticket holder).  Your view of the scoreboard will be extremely limited, but your view of the ice should be complete.  In fact, you may be able to see more of the scoreboard than me because you will be on the curve, and the F balcony doesn't hand down as steeply on the ends.  Enjoy the game.  Go Pens!!!

  4. There is a deck hangover I believe. I normally sit in E3 and there's no hangover in my seat but there is in E12 I believe.

Don't worry....you'll still be able to see the ice and tha players, BUT you won't be able to see the jumbotron

  5. yeeah, there are poles farther in the back... i've only had seats in the C section or the B section during the games so i'm not really familiar with section E.

  6. I believe that the F Deck overhangs your section.  You probably won't be able to see the scoreboard at all.  And there is a chance that the section of ice furthest from you might be obscured by the upper deck as well.

The scoreboard is no big deal, and you'll still be able to see about 90% of the ice.
