Just curious, what was your prescription before the surgery? Was the surgery able to correct your vision totally?

My contact prescription is -4.50. Is that beyond the scope of what can be fixed?

  1. my husband had surgery exactly one week ago.  He was -4.5 in one eye and -3.75 in the other....been like that since the 6th grade.  And now at 33 he is 20/15!!!!!!!!!!  He is thrilled and doesn't even feel like he had surgery....no irritation,no dryness(which is not typical by the way!)  He was 20/20 7 hours after having surgery and 20/15 by the time he woke up the day after:)

  2. i had 1.5 and was wearing contacts. I hated to wear 'em every morning. I was also getting redness in my eyes because of contacts... so decided to go for lasik..

i did it in January...feels totally gr8 now!!!

even with ur prescription am sure it is possible to correct it totally.

You would have to take a test with ur doc though..to determine whether lasik can be done to u and whether ur eyes are ready for it. They measure ur eye contours, determine the pressure and lotsa other stuff which i am not sure of...They do a test and determine all of it. After that only, ur allowed to take the surgery (i.e. if the tests are positive and ur eyes are healthy enough)

So, go and get a preliminary examination to test ur eyes.. Then u should get a better idea!!

    Hope i helped...!!

  3. -800 degree was mine. yes having 6/6 vision for the past 6months. No, lasik can fix up to over 1000degree
