  1. May be these two site will be helpful,

    www.lifestylebarcelona.com

    www.concierge.com

    Have a great time!

  2. Walk around the Barrio Gotico, next to las Ramblas.

Go to see Sagrada Familia Catedral, Parque Guell, Tibidabo, Montjuic, La Boqueria (a market) and I'd recommend staying in the area called Gracia, which is between the green line subway stops

Diagonal and Fontana, or near Plaza del Sol, a great place to sit outside and have a drink.

If people say "chocolate" to you on the streets they mean hashish.

I used to live there for a year and it's a big, lively place with lots of traffic and millions of bars.  Very late night partying. (Discotecas get started about 3 a.m.; if you go at midnight you might be alone for a few hours.)

Take a train 30 minutes to Sitges for a beautiful town on the beach, or up the coast to Cadaques, but it's a 2 hr. train ride to Figueres from Barce. then a 1 hr. bus ride to Cadaques.  In Figueres is the Museu Salvador Dali, if you're interested.

  3. i can't really help you with places to stay because i stayed in a hostel... but for things to do check out la rambla at night.  there are usually good clubs there and also beach parties are amazing.  if you want to go out with a bunch of americans and other tourists i would suggest a pub crawl.  we did a smaller pub crawl but we ended up meeting up with the other pub crawl at the club at the end.  the pub crawl i did was called insomniac so if you want a bigger one don't choose incomniac.  they also have good clubs by the harbor and some you can get in free if you are there early (which is usually before 1230 or 1).  it is really fun to walk the city at night and get away from la rambla and find cool clubs farther away.. la rambla is awesome it just gets crowded with tourists.  one good club on la rambla is club fellini.  different rooms and lots of fun!  i loved barcelona it was absolutely amazing!  another thing you have to do is the fat tires bike tour.  really good tour guides and shows you the best parts of barcelona.  enjoy your time... i wish i was going back.

  4. We have not actually stayed in Barcelona, but we have been there and some MUST-SEES are the Sagrada Familia which is Gorgeous but unfinished. There is also great shopping! And there are many monuments and old historic buildings that are beautiful. If you are planning on staying in Barcelona I would go on google and check out hotels. Have a great trip!
