For those of you who love Skiing AND Riding...?

what keeps you coming back and enjoying both disciplines? Most people I know either ski or ride, but dont do both. They work really hard at one of them and forget the other. I understand that alot of people have only tried one of the disciplines, but for those of you who still do both, wht keeps you coming back to each of them? Is there something about either one of them that just keeps you coming back?

For me, skiing is probably my favorite out of the two, but I would never be willing to give up the feeling of making fast, low big GS turns on my board. There is nothing like having your face a foot away for the snow with your hand scraping the courd at 35 mph. Skiing pow on the steeps and in the trees is awesome too, and there is nothing like choking on a mouthfull of snow while getting faceshot after faceshot of fresh, light snow on a Bluebird powder day.

What keeps you guys coming back to both...is there anyone out there who knows what im talking about?

  1. I do both because it is a good variety. I switch depending on the snow conditions of the day. If it is hard packed or deep powder I ski. If it is 1-2in of new snow then I use my snowboard. I prefer skiing. It also depend on what I feel like skiing during the day.

  2. i know what you are talking about. sometimes it gets a little stale doing one so i switch for the day. it never gets old. keep trying new tricks or moves.

  3. I totally know what your talking about! I agree i like skiing alot better just because ive been doing it longer. But snowboarding for me is kind of a influenced sport sonce my friends all do it then i do it too. SO its nice like i have a group of friends that ski and a group that snowboards so i can do either without having to be the odd ball out. If that makes sense anyways thats my reasoning. Good question.
