  1. We really can't do much, while these greenhouse gases aren't good for the planet, they are having little to no effect on the planet.

I like when someone states a fact against AGW how the AGW supporters just resort to "can you provide evidence of this?"  yet they have provided no evidence, just theories and data charts that are constantly wrong.

  2. I'm going to send a big mirror into space to reflect 50% of the suns light back to the sun. This should save earth :-). But environmentalists would event another false problem: global freezing. We are not getting enough light and its causing the earth to freeze.

  3. Just Change the Environment of Earth better

  4. ... "the earth healing itself" and you have evidence for this? Not merely evidence relating to a period in time when man had no impact on the earth. Where is the evidence that with all of the changes that humanity is creating within a very complex biosphere that the earth is still able to self regulate?

.."the rest of the solar system" and you have evidence for this? The last time I checked I could not find a single long term climate study for the other planets in our solar system and certainly nothing dating back to the 1930's when climate change was first discussed in scientific circles.

    *Edit to d*

"Check again is hardly going to cut it is it? As I said I have checked and there are none why don't you simply supply a reference to a long term climate study on a planet other than earth?

What "fact" was disputed? Since no evidence was provided there was no fact only an opinion. Strangely though all those graphs, charts, models & formulae etc that 1,000's of scientists agree about are all highly dubious as far as deniers are concerned whilst they are perfectly at liberty to say "pink elephants cause a climate cool down" whilst citing some blog that a mate put together yesterday and expect intelligent people to believe it?

  5. I'll answer this question like this, in response to the foolish answers posted above....If you pass gas in an elevator, does it affect only you, or everyone around you?  Kinda my theory on the affect we are doing to our planet has on the solar system and space.  I am personally focusing on my own planet, hoping the changes I have made will snowball...We are solar and soon to be wind powered.  My husband and I both walk to work and rive very little.  A tank of gas lasts us 3 weeks!  I recycle or compost up to 80% of our household waste.  I made canvas shopping bags from $1 a yard fabric...so we have no plastic bags to dispose of into the landfills.  We do mnay things to help preserve our planet...it's just a shame so many people have their heads in the sand.

  6. Only a few planets are warming, for different reasons.  On Mars it's giant dust storms.

On the Earth it's mostly man made CO2.

But most of the planets aren't warming, they're cooling a bit.  Because the Sun is.

  7. I want to work on my own planet first before worrying about the solar system

  8. Wow, you need to take a plane flight at about 30,000 feet just so that you can get a perspective of how miniscule we really are.....  As important and as all powerful as we think we are, Mother Nature always has the last laugh and we ain't gonna change a thing.  Good luck in your endeavor though!

When the temperatures do go down within the next ten to twenty years, watch these fear mongers take credit for that, even though China will be producing ten times more than we have ever dreamed of producing in all forms of pollutants.  By-the-way, CO2 is not a pollutant, in spite of what the Supreme Court might think.  I guess oxygen and water should be pollutants too.....

Emissions increase every year???  What is left that we produce in this country?  Someone has their facts mixed up....  Everything is "made in china, Mexico or Taiwan."

  9. The earth has changed in this way for millions of years we are technically still coming out of an ice age there has been times when the earth has had no ice on it at all, long before the likes of us but there is evidence to prove it. On the news and several other documentaries they always mention bout vast planes of ice breaking away or melting. What they fail to mention is that in some areas the ice is actually getting thicker and it is colder. The earth is just going through a natural change I doubt we have a great deal to do with it to be honest. I mean ok pollution from our carbon emissions do make the world a less healthy place to be and the Ozone layer may be effected but I very much doubt it is to the exteme we are being led to believe it is. I think the world is just changing and we happen to live in the time where it is doing the more progressive of the changes. As for the the other planets, I guess they can look after themselves, most don't sustain any life anyway. lol

  10. umm....................don really know. didnt get your question very clearly. sorry...but with what i could understand, guess it's earth we're concerned with !

  11. If other planets shows signs of warming or not is not important for our existence here on earth. Hence we don't have to do anything about it.

Some planets shows signs of warming but not all and we don't know whether these "warmings" are global or local.

The sun is the energy source for our planet and every other planet in the solar system. But there is no doubt that "greenhouse gases" plays an important role in our climate. If we increase the greenhouse gases around earth it DOES affect climate. So far, the increase has been rather limited (in the sense that we can handle it). But our emissions continues to increase EVERY year and stays for decades, even centuries in our atmosphere. If we don't break that trend soon we will see more severe consequences in the future. What skeptics fail to realize is that this discussion should not be about past changes in our climate, but about what will happen if we don't change direction for our future.

Edit: "The earth healing itself"? Probably true, measured in a geological time scale, but nothing we humans have time to wait for.

Edit to Cindy: "Someone has their facts mixed up" I guess that referred to me??? If someone got their facts mixed up it has to be you. I didn't talk about any particular country (I live in Sweden by the way) but about the products "made in china, Mexico or Taiwan.", who is buying them? But I do agree it would be better if we all started to support products produced closer to home instead. That way the emissions for the transportations would be lower.
