How can you tell how accurate your color is going to be on your edited photo? I asked a question earlier about after unplugging a laptop how the color fades on it, but even when it is plugged in it seems a little bright. So my question is...How can you tell what the actual coloring is going to be on your photo when the screen is obviously not the correct color on a laptop?

  1. I use Eye-One Pro to calibrate my notebook computers screen once a month ... my desktop's CRT once a week.

  2. The best way? Use a monitor (either LCD or CRT, CRT is cheaper) thats made for photo editing and displays a very accurate color range.

Or just guess, for the most part.

  3. experience helps alot, after working w/ your laptop for awhile you should begin to understand how a picture will look when printed after looking at it on the screen
