For those of you who wear contacts?...

My vision is getting bad I have to wear glasses but contacts may be what I want instead.

I just wanted some opinions on which is better, contacts or glasses?

If you say contacts, do they ever annoy you or feel uncomfortable?

Contacts. They are not uncomfortable at all.

I really dig contacts because you have better peripheral vision.  You have to get used to them.  Sometimes they get dry or if something gets in your eye it hurts way worse when you're wearing your contacts but this stuff doesn't happen that often and it's worth it.

I think contacts are amazing =]



However, they do take some getting use to. If you're interested in them, you can get your eye doctor to order you a "trial" pair. They will fit you for them, and see how you like them. After a week or two, you would go back, and the doctor will see how your eyes have adjusted to them.

The most important think (& I'm sure your doctor will tell you) is to keep them CLEAN! I've had two or three eye infections- just because I didn't take them out and put them in cleaner- like I should..

I do love contacts because they are comfortable. When you first get them, it's normal to experience some discomfort..but after a few weeks wearing them, you will not want to go back to glasses.

Although, I do have to say that I still keep a pair of glasses. Some mornings if I'm running late to work, it's much more convenient to stick my glasses on than to worry about popping in my contacts. And they are also a great back up in case I have to order more contacts- Or I'm just staying around the house for the day.

The ONLY downside I can think of wearing contacts is that insurance does not cover them..But they will glasses..For some people, that's the deal breaker..But I would recommend them to anyone- even just to try.
