For those that have had ghostly experiences, would you please share your stories?

Please share any paranormal experiences you have had. Please make them first hand experiences and not stories you have heard from someone else. Thanks.

Me an my husband were in bed one night and i had to jump up and get something off the dresser and i noticed a light on in the basement from the vent, right when i said "You left the light on in the basement" we heard three loud bangs..it sounded as if someone had taken a baseball bat to the pipes or something under the house..just three times then it stopped. right after that the phone rang and we learned that his aunt was in the hospital, dying...it was very scary.

One time I had to go down to the basement to look for some tools. Well, I got down there and it was dark and dank... I could barely see anything. But then it hit me like a brick. The smell. Yep, the sewer had backed up into our basement. Boy, that was a mess to clean up. I remember I had to....  oh wait... you said ghostly. I thought you said ghastly. Never mind. (I've had tons of ghostly experiences too.)

One time I slept downstaris in the living room (no pun intended) when I woke up.  I thought I heard someone opening the refrigerator.  I walked over to it, and it was standing wide open.  I shut it and went back over to the couch.  Suddenly, I heard it opening again.  I went back into the kitchen and closed it again. I couldn't sleep, so I started watching TV when I thought I heard someone in the bathroom.  I went inside the bathroom and suddenly the toilet started flushing, but no one was there.  I was getting a little scared, so I went back to the TV.  Eventually, everything seemed to stop and I got hungry, so I went over to the refrigerator to open it.  However, it was already open.  I got a glass of milk and closed it, when I thought I heard someone in the basement.  I turned on the light and went into the basement.  As I got closer to the freezer in the basement, I felt like someone was watching me.  I turned around and saw this big toy grasshopper with blinking red eyes advancing towards me.  I blinked my eyes and it was gone.  I turned back around and this time it was IN FRONT of me.  I ran back upsatairs and finished my milk which I left on the kitchen table.  I didn't sleep well that night.

Everyone is asking for ghostly experiences, haven´t you had one of your own?

We used to have bookshelf in my mom's office and it was packed with books, magazines and other stuff. Anyway, that same day I had felt funny around my house in some places but i didn't pay much attention to it.

I went to bed normally and fell asleep quickly. Around 3 am, I heard a very loud noise, like crashing and stuff falling. And guess what? All the books on the bookshelf had been thrown on the floor.

Hey Joe! I have had several experiences... so here is what you asked for....

My earliest...

I was probably around the age of 13. We lived in an old house in Ohio that was 2 stories with another full story used as an attic. One evening I was on my way to put some things in the attic and I couldn't get the door to open. I tried again and the second time it opened and i seen a gassy form turn the corner up the stairs and a "swoosh" of cold air ( not wind ) kind of settled around me... I slammed the door shut and waited til a different day to store the stuff away... ( i was scared!!! :-) )

Another story took place about 4 years ago....

Eric and I were sitting at the dinning room table eating dinner and from where we were sitting you could look down the hall into a bedroom at the end of the hall. Out of the corner of my eye I thought I seen something move so, I looked directly into that room and saw a gassy shadow move into the closet. When I looked back at Eric he was turning from looking also and we looked at each other and he said... you seen it too didn't you?.... I had seen the figure before and had seen it several times afterwards... always doing the same thing... walking into the closet and only in that room.

One more....

In the house I live in now, I believe I share it with a spirit as well. I only see it in the same place each time though I hear it very often moving about and what sounds like bumping into my chairs at the table.... When I am in the drop down den, I can look up the stairs and into the dinning room and it is always moving in front of the doorway to the right towards the back wall.... a funny twist to this is when we moved into this house we all chose our seats around the dinning room table ( 6 to choose from ) and the five that were chosen did not include the chair at the end of the table at the wall where I have seen this spirit walk towards... and mind you, the seats were chosen way before I realized we had a house mate....

Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.

While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.

Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.

I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.

During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.

I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.

I was walking alone in a graveyard at night when I felt someone watching me. I ran away back to my house and went inside. The next day, I found out that a 20 year old woman was killed by an escaped convict in the graveyard... in the same place where I had been walking, just about 30 minutes after I left.

i will email you my story, as i dont feel like been insultered here, by closed minded people who have nothing better to do but give out insults ...i dont understand why they dont just stick to science and maths, and stay out of this section if they dont believe....and yes go ahead and report me skeptics...woo hoo
