  1. ive never been in prison but have friends and family..i think the hardest thing to adjust to is finding employment..especially if you're a convicted felon...i realize they were away for a reason but i dont think keeping ppl from getting a job is a good thing..i mean we want them to become a contributing part of society, yet they are often not hired b/c of their background..somehow that doesnt make sense...

  2. I personally have never spent time in prison but I know several people that have. In fact one is my son.

He spent almost 3 yrs on a 5 yr sentence for Child Endangerment. He was released on Jan 29, 08. He went to a "halfway house" in St Louis Missouri and he was doing real good about being reintroduced into society.

Being in jail and prison from the time he was almost 17 has been really hard on the family. But my son was a trooper and darn near skated through his time.

All of a sudden on May 14, 08, he became one of Missouri's many missing persons. We have been told that at first no one was sure what happened or where he went. Now we are being told that he ran. He had 5 yrs parole/probation to do.

Maybe he got scared and didn't want to do the 5 yrs on paper. I just don't know.

I have seen many men and women get released and do fine. I have also seen many that just can't handle being free (getting used to a lifestyle inside) and wind up purposely doing something to go back.

        Hope I answered your question.
