  1. I definately believe in them... my family has this story of how "we come from spiritulist's" and therefore have 'the gift'. I don't. And I wouldn't want it! My cousin and sister, however, seem to. My cousin is amazing, but people hound her all the time, calling in the middle of the night to see if she can do a reading and see their spirit guide. She does charge for readings, but is quite reasonable, and usually spot on.

But, I would think that it is more of a curse than a gift. If something weird happens to me, like hearing something that I'm not sure was real or not, I am constantly checking to make sure other people heard it to. My friends laugh at me, but  I'll be happy with my 'glitch in the matrix' and deja vu moments.

  2. I am psychic and it is a blessing and a curse at times too.  You can help lots of people but sometimes you see things that are very upsetting.  I work for free myself because I don't need the money.  But I do know people that it is how they make a living.  A lot of times people go to fairs or shows and have to pay a lot for a reading.  When you go to a psychic fair everyone inside has to pay a fee to setup a booth, so they have to pass on the costs.  I find that the pressure of money just throws me off my game too.  If I feel that I have to do something because I was paid, then the extra pressure just shuts me down.  And besides if I get blocked by something then I don't have to give the money back.  If your paying a psychic and they are blocked  then how would you know if they are making it up.  Most of the time I just get weird stuff that makes no sense to me but it means something to the person I'm reading.  Like right now I see a ear with a line a cross it.  It's right there on my laptop screen. Left ear, weird!

  3. I wish that either nothing had ever happened to me...or that I had never told anyone. It destroyed my life.  I don't think I asked for it to happen ..that I remember. Once it did..I went along with it. Wish I'd never told anyone.

  4. Well it can be a gift or a curse just depending on whether you want it or not. If you love the paranormal and are not afraid of it then it would be a gift, the opposite way around, then it would probably be a curse. Another way of looking at it is say you are a clairvoyant and you start seeing these frightening, evil, dangerous, rapists, serial killers, Mentally ill people [ in their lives] then it would be scary because then you are just in danger or are more likely to be put in danger. Then that would probably be a curse.

So it can go either way [ at least in my opinion] because if you cannot control it or you don't know what to do then it puts you in danger so it would be considered a curse, if you can control it and know how to just block it out and you don't get scared easily and you actually like it, then it would be a gift, a scary one but a gift :).

Yes I would be a clairvoyant. I don't know why but I would.

  5. I can tell the future by palm reading and also the cards (Tarot and playing cards)

However i dont charge extortionate amounts, i do it for fun with my family and friends.

The only time i have charged people is whan i have been on  a charioty run and needed money for fuel, ferry crossings and medication for the orphans in Romania.

One time I held an open evening, some of my friends came to read cards, ribbons, palms etc. We charged each person £5 for half hour or more and made nearly £300  that evening. People were aware that we were ereading for charity.

  6. Hello

It is neither a gift or a curse in the real sense unless you view it as such. being psychic is a natural things, we are all psychic to one degree or another.

Im a psychic/clairvoyant/healer so the choice was made long ago.

    Sadhara

  7. You hit the jackpot! I've never seen so many good answers.

Deenie is typical of someone who just discovered she isn't 'normal', she'll be back in two years telling everyone how she mended a birds wings or saved her aunt from making a bad purchase.  She'll make new friends that are advanced as she and will become one of the crowd. (there are tens of thousands of us Deenie!)

Listen to them, when you first find out you have it you think it was a curse. I was beaten as a child for 'the gift' now I tell you I would go through it every day if I could use it to help people more.

    Both, use it wisely.

  8. It is a gift, but it can feel like a curse until you learn to develop it and "control" it.  It can be used for good in SO many ways.  I am a psychic medium and I am very thankful.  I get to touch peoples lives and help them, and that is fabulous.

I do charge for my readings, I have to eat and put a roof over my head after all!  Everyone else "charges" for their time, after all everyone who works for someone else receives a paycheck, and my time isn't worth any less than someone else's just because of what I do.  Really, what would it be worth to you to get closure on a situation or convey or receive a message from someone you didn't get a chance to before they passed?  I have never had anyone ask for a refund and everyone that I give a reading to has something wonderful to say about how it touched and impacted and helped them.  I think if the psychic is coming from a place of good and wanting to help then it is definitely a gift and not a curse :)

  9. I think it's a gift but some people use it in the wrong way, such as charging outrageous fees for their service. I also think there are alot of fakes out there. More fakes than real psychics. I don't think I would want that gift though. I don't want to know whats going to happen. Some things would be good to know, you know like the little things but I would not want to know major things.

  10. a medallion can hold a curse so it could be eather one

    Being physic is a gift

  11. I believe that certain people have those abilities, but that at times they could also be more of a curse then a gift.

  12. Well just for the record i have never taken money for anything i have done but if i did i would be charging for my time.Being a medium in some cases as i can not speak for everyone is a gift and should be used to help mankind. If mediums charge then that is there pathway and mine is mine.I certainly would not call it a curse the help i have been given from spirit.I would have been dead if it was not for them as thy have saved my life several times.I wont waste my time trying to convert anyone as we each have our own pathway in life and mine is to help people, what is yours. I have set a lot of good seeds in my life and some have fallen on fertile ground and grown, others have fallen on stony ground so life is up to you what you do with it,make a difference in someones life it makes you feel good.

  13. I think a lot of people have psychic ability, some are more in touch with it than others. I feel the true mediums should go about the work with the will of wanting to help people, monetary gain shouldn't feature at all.  I have visited 4 psychics/mediums in my time and 2 of them were hopeless and over charged - I feel they wanted to believe they had the power to tell the future but just didn't have the ability to.  The other 2 however, were scarily spot-on about detailed happenings in my past, the past of my parents and the following years of my life.  Interestingly, the talented mediums didn't put a price on their readings, they asked for a donation only - they left it to me to decide or whether I could afford to give.

  14. Yes I believe some have this ability, I often 'hear' from my deceased relatives...I just control it by blocking any other spirit out...I don't know them and are not comfortable with them...it is something I learned to do through meditation...a disciplined mind can do this...it is a gift for me...it has made me not fear death at all...

  15. yes, i beleive Mediums, i have no idea the other one. its a gift. i wuld be psychic do i culd tell the future!!

  16. 50 -60 euro for 40 minutes would be great value for money if they actually told you anything useful.

However it is kind of steep for a bit of guessing, some cold reading and random bunkum.

  17. It's strong on and off for me seeing and communication with spirits. I have seen many of them through the years. I have been told basically that I am a medium. I've done things I've never thought were possible. But in the spirit world all things are possible.

Yes it surely is a gift, and I now am feeling comfortable with it, until something new happens, every experience is in some way different. I was always scare of these things pushing it aside, I am more understanding of it all now, especially when the spirit is of comforting to communicate with.

  18. I think such "abilities" are gifts given to people who claim to have them by people who claim to have them (i.e. themselves).

  19. I do believe in mediums, although I know that there are some fakes out there.  I don't know if I would want to be a medium because whatever I would see or would feel would not necessarily be good.  I kinda want to be a medium, but then again I don't, I guess it can be both a blessing and a curse.

  20. I BELIEVE THAT SOME PEOPLE HAVE THE GIFT,, I HAVE DONE A COUPLE OF PSYCHIC AWARENESS CLASSES AND IT IS VERY INTERESTING. SO YES IF I COULD I WOULD BE A CLAIRVOYANT

  21. If you want a gift to help people genuinely only Jesus Christ can help you with that. Some 'gifts' that people have no matter how cool it may seem are demonic in origin and only leads to destruction.

  22. Depends on the depth of it. if its overwheleming its a curse a tiny bit of the power could be a gift.  I have dreams that take place in waking life, I wish I could build upon this small ability

  23. Great question!!!!

I think being a medium is nboth a gift and a curse, you get to see many horrific things and things that you dont want to see, but then again you also you help peoples lives by letting them know thier loved ones that have passed away are ok.

You also help spirits who are trapped to pass over and be able to be with thier loved ones

It is also (in a business aspect) a career oppourtunity and something that you can make a lot of money on

overall i do think it is a gift though

    have a star

  24. I think it is a bit of both.

  25. When I was younger, it felt more a curse than a gift but I have learned to control it and to help people. Now I think that it is sort of a gift...but I did a lot of work to develop it...so it's sort of a gift I gave to myself. ;)

I normally charge a flat rate of $20 for a reading. I have done them for $5 (when I was reading at a club) because they were fast and fun. I have also done a lot of readings for free, online and in person. It just depends on what I feel. I am usually Divinely guided to help, I don't seek out people to read for, they find me. :)

  26. I am a medium

It is an ability the same as painting amazingly, or dancing well, etc.. It is a gift because I use it to help others on a regular basis.

I also do use my ability as a source of income, and 40 plus is a normal price range for many reasons.

    1) We have to be  lower than the other mediums in our area but higher than a tea leaf reader or someone who is just book learned-it shows that we are serious, real, and genuine. Just as people will look at a more expensive car and know it's better than th eless expensive ones. That's just how society works unfortunately.

    2) Mediums don't necessarily get many people a day. Reading for too many a day causes energy drainage-but we also need to oput food on our table and live with daily expenses. So if people want us to dedicate our life to working with them we have to make a enough money to live off of.

    3) It's our time and energy we are using up. Psychiatrists and councellors are much more expensive and yet in a lot of ways are  doing the same thing-helping with communication (nothing tangible).

There's more reasons but you should get the gist by now.

    :)

  27. Whenever we suddenly encounter something that frightens or startles us, our body has a tendency to "jump" in response. Over the past decade, a considerable amount of evidence has been gathered to suggest that, on a very subtle and unconscious level, our body’s autonomic nervous system may also "jump" in response to frightening or startling stimuli. However, it does so even BEFORE our body encounters such stimuli...

Precognition is a blessing as is telepathy and we all have it

  28. All I will say on the matter to keep it brief.....I believe in Paranormal Phenomena, especially Spirit and re-incarnation.

  29. the only true mediums don't charge you for a sitting!!

if i could choose i would choose to be a clairvoyent.
