For those who believe in time travel...?

Question

If it will ever be possible, can't you just pick a date, time and place that you will always remember (say 5:00 today at your front door) and make that the place you will go back in time to? Technically, you should run into your future self, correct?

Yes I think that is correct. Therefore I know that time travel will never be invented in my lifetime.

And about the whole killing your grandpa thing. If you killed your grandfather then you wouldn't exist. But then who killed your grandfather if you didn't exist?

Some say that if you go back or forward in time you will go to a different time-line that is not your own.  So in theory you would meet your future/past self...but would be from a different timeline.  

Think of it as standing in the center of a wheel.  And each spoke that goes out from the center is a timeline based on a decision that was made. So there would be quite a few.  So if you went back to kill your grandfather,,you would not exist in that timeline but you would in yours.

It is hard to wrap your brain around..lol  And if time travel is invented,,wouldn't that mean that time travelers are here among us.  And that person that accidentally bumps into you,,maybe your great grandchildren coming back to meet there ancestors,,you!

The problem with time traveling is that if you accidentally find your future self you will melt down cause the same mass cannot occupy two diferent places at the same time, just as two bodies cannot occupy the same place at the same time.

I read about one design for a time machine that, once built, would only allow you to go back as far as the date at which the machine was first turned on.  So....

If you turn it on today, 20 years from now you could go back to today.  

This machine, which we don't currently have the technology to build, would probably give you the strange result you describe, but, first you have to build one.....

I think it exists somewhere. There is a h**l of alot of stars out there, all suns with their own planets. Lots of societies who are more advanced than us. Anything and everything is possible.

that's why time travel aint real because if it is possable in the future you would know now because someone would have traveled back to here by now

time travel is possible. I have traveled 5 minutes into the past with a time machine i built. Well the grandpa thing. if you killed your grandpa then you would go back to the moment before you went to the past. It is a theory i invented called the Unifect theory of past time travel. it means no matter what you do in the past it will not change the future because what you do in the past that you change will undo and you will be sent back to before you left.

I would love to consider the possibility of large organisms traveling great spans of time, but I just can't get past the Grandfather Paradox.

Paradoxes eliminated

Atoms being in the same place twice if there are two or more dimensions time travel future SOL will just throw you into another dimension so atoms are not in the same place twice.

Our bodys made out of atoms which have always been here and always be after death, ashes plant dirt etc before birth most likely plant or food other matter which your parents and you ate.

Grandfather Paradox

Time travel to the past will not alow you or your ship to only your counsioussness/mind which is not made out of atoms will go back in time so basically you will like how you are when you are dead which no one knows maybe its suicide but if you somehow pre programed your machine to slow down you will reach back into your physical form possibly. So it will be both time travel into the past and an experecne of how we will be when we are dead in mind form you have no sense your just that voice you have in your head which no one except you hears so you will just be invisible unable to change the future of course maybe we have people from the future around us today maybe why people either hear voices or feel a presense paranormal activity etc.

Our mind is not are brain as both can work against eachother.

You cant stop your heartbeat but you can hold your breath.

Your brain cant stop suicide but you cant shutdown your own brain.

Sleep patalysis is when your brain suposibly  thinks you are aspleep but yourself tries to wake up and you feel traped inside your own body I have experieced this and from then I knew for sure our free will/mind counsioussness is not our brain but something else two different things. I got scared for no reason in my dream which made me wake up but I couldnt move i tried banging on the wall to get someones attention, breath nothing was coming out I was not chocking nothing in my throught but like when you hold your breath but I wasnt chosing to I wanted to scream at this point but no air came out, keep my eyes open for more than a second they kept blinkin irraticly so I knew I was awake, or talk I tried shouting for help nothing came out. I feels as if some force is holding you down all my sense were still there (hear, smell, see, touch & taste) but I was paralyzed like I was in an invisible stray jacket no air could come out of my mouth as well nothing it lasted for half a minute and all of a sudden instantly I was able to be back to normal like I won the fight for my body. Science says its because the brain thinks you are in sleep & has minimal control over blinking and breathing i did for blinking but not breathing at all. This shows our brain is just the nucleas organ of our body while our mind is something else time travels to the past possible maybe it will be like a dream who knows but you can't change the future without a brain or body so you will just be invisible

time travel would be a real bad mistake to let the public experiemnt...they can really fukc things up for not only themselves but for everyone else in the world...so my theory is dat this actually did happen in the future, and so the creator of the first ever workin time travel machine decided to destroy it and himself in order to reverse the effects (which resulting in an armageddon) and so dat it can never b used again n no one will kno his secret to fixin it.

Unless you go back in time first and accidentally smash your grandpa with your time machine, before you were born.  Then you will never exist to begin with.
